What to do when someone dies

When someone dies, the initial shock and pure grief can be completely overwhelming.

We hope this information is simple and will offer some intitial guidance.

When someone dies at Home / Nursing Home

If the death occurs AT HOME or in A NURSING HOME, please contact us immediately on 0121 313 0054 and you will be personally guided through the steps that need to be taken. Our telephone line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will always be answered by a funeral director, not an answer machine.

When someone dies in Hospital

If the death occurs, IN HOSPITAL, intitial help will be given by the nurses and from The Bereavement Office, however, when you feel able to, please do contact us as soon as possible. Do not hesitate to obtain support from us at weekends and over bank holidays when the Bereavement Office at the hospital will be closed.
